Over the last 9 months Broxtowe Borough Council has been working very closely with Nottinghamshire Police to improve safety for visitors to Hickings Lane Recreation Ground in Stapleford.

  1. Following a previously submitted bid by a local Church which was rejected by then Police and Crime Commissioner Paddy Tipping, another bid was submitted by Broxtowe Borough Council following meetings of the Stapleford Advisory Group. The more recent bid was successfully signed off by the present Police and Crime Commissioner Caroline Henry.

    Residents on a near by road now open and close one of the gates off the Park.
