Garden Waste Subscriptions

It’s that time of year, when residents in Broxtowe can renew their garden waste subscription for the year ahead.
The charge for Garden Waste Subscription 2021/22 is as follows:
- One bin: £36
- Additional bins: £22 each
Please note this covers the period 5th April 2021 to 3rd April 2022.

Big Spring clean-up event

The Great British Spring Clean is back this year from 28th May to 13th June organised by Keep Britain Tidy. Residents, schools and groups are showing a great interest in taking part this year!
If you are interested in doing a litter pick, please email jay.trivedi@broxtowe.gov.uk and you will be placed on waiting list and as soon as equipment is available you will be contacted.
UPDATE: Waxed carton bins now accepting more items!
As you may be aware, Broxtowe has various locations recycling centres across the borough. One of the items we often get asked about is waxed cartons. This item can be taken to certain bring sites. The banks that currently take waxed cartons now also take the following items:

Compost Bin Giveaway
Compost is an environmentally friendly way to recycle kitchen and garden waste, it also can help your garden to really grow.
Veolia have 50 compost bins to giveaway to Nottinghamshire residents. To enter this competition you need to fill out a short survey .

Recycling centres
The recycling centres in Giltbrook and Beeston are open 8am – 8pm daily until the end of September, including bank holidays.
Please sort your waste into types before visiting and allow plenty of time to unload your waste once on site.
Social distancing measures remain in place so queues are likely at busy times – try to visit at quieter times if possible.
