If you have Covid-19 symptoms

Covid-19 symptoms

Book a PCR test or call 119 if you have at least one of the three main coronavirus symptoms:

  • a high temperature
  • a new, continuous cough
  • you’ve lost your sense of smell or taste or it’s changed

You should not go to the polling station if you are unwell, showing Covid-19 symptoms or are self-isolating. If you had planned on voting in person you can apply for an emergency proxy vote up until 5pm on polling day on the grounds of having, or being at risk of having, coronavirus.

Doctor dispels common vaccine myths

Vaccine confidence

A local GP dispels some common myths about the Covid-19 vaccine in a recent article.

Please take up your opportunity to be vaccinated when it’s your turn. If you’ve had your first vaccine, it’s important to take up your second dose for maximum protection.

You can book online here or call 119.

Two residents praise local market during the pandemic

Bingham market

We’re celebrating the way residents and businesses have adapted during the Covid-19 pandemic. Last week at Bingham market, we caught up with two regular market visitors Kristina and Craig who explained what it means to support their local market: “We’ve changed how we shop. We buy local now and hardly visit large supermarkets. It’s great as we buy just what we need so we’ve massively reduced our food wastage whilst knowing that our purchases are helping support local businesses which is really important to us. We love heading down to the market and chatting to the traders.”
