Covid-19 vaccination programme

Covid-19 vaccine bookings open for 42 year olds in Nottinghamshire

In Nottinghamshire people aged 42 or over are now eligible for a Covid-19 vaccine. Vaccinations can be arranged using the online booking service or by calling 119.

The vaccine is our best protection against Covid-19. Please take up your opportunity to be vaccinated when it’s your turn.

One dose of Covid-19 vaccine can cut household transmission by up to half

Household transmission

A new study by Public Health England has shown that one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine reduces household transmission by up to half. It is still important to increase your protection by getting both doses of the vaccine when it’s your turn. It’s also vital to continue to wash your hands regularly and follow social distancing guidance, even if you’ve had the jab.

Thank you to the Meet Greet & Eat volunteers!

Meet, Greet and Eat

On Tuesday 27 April, volunteers at Meet Greet & Eat packed food bags ready to be delivered to homeless and vulnerable people in Nottinghamshire. Visiting a pub with friends this weekend? Make sure to check in with the NHS Test and Trace App

Venue check-in

Everyone over the age of 16 should check in to venues such as pubs, hairdressers, cafes and gyms when they visit. You can do this by giving your name and contact details to venue staff or checking in using the QR code on the NHS Covid-19 app.

NHS Test and Trace helps trace close recent contacts of anyone who tests positive for coronavirus and, if necessary, notifies them that they must self-isolate at home to help stop the spread of the virus.

Wear a face covering to protect others

Maria wears here face covering indoors

It is a legal requirement to wear a face covering in indoor settings, such as shops and places of worship, and on public transport, unless you are exempt or have a reasonable excuse.

With all non-essential shops reopen we’d like to remind you to wear your face covering when out and about this bank holiday weekend.

Stop the spread of Covid-19
