Councillor Richard MacRae, Stapleford North Ward, Stapleford Town Council, Broxtowe Borough Council writes:
As you know I have been working with Councillor Don Pringle with support from Darren Henry MP to help residents who’s houses have flooded locally. The MP has given us this information to share.
The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs have launched a consultation seeking views on changes to the Flood Re scheme to improve its efficiency and effectiveness and to increase uptake of property flood resilience.
The Flood Re scheme is designed to help households at high flood risk access affordable insurance.
The consultation is currently open to the public for responses and closes on 26th April 2021.
Please submit your views for consideration based on your experience of accessing affordable insurance for high flood risk properties.
