As you know I have organised 18 local Job Fairs over the years and until funding was cut I used to volunteer at the Stapleford Work Club at Stapleford Library. I have also supported CSCS Training which is something I am still doing. These things have helped so many people into further education, training opportunities and work placements.
So when I was contacted by Groundwork who I have worked with in the past to support the Building Better Opportunities I jumped at the chance.
Their Work Coaches will work with you and agree the support you need to get closer to your goals.
They will help you to remain in work or training once you have secured a placement, by working on some of the barriers you face.
They will support you to feel more confident and ready to look for the right opportunities for you.
They will provide you with a Personal Budget to help access work. It can be used for things like child care, work equipment, training, bus passes, clothing and much more.
If anyone is interested in more information please email me at cllrrichardmacrae@gmail.com and I will pass on your details.
Supporting people with those first steps towards gaining employment, education and training is something I have been doing for a long time and as always I am happy to work with others doing this.
