Have you ever considered being a Town Councillor?

If so, an opportunity has arisen in Stapleford. Their website shows:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a vacancy exists for two Town Councillors to serve on the Stapleford Town Council South West Ward.

Any ten electors for the said Parish Ward may request that an election should be held to fill this vacancy within 14 days from the date of this notice (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and the days of any Bank Holiday break).  A request can either be received:-

  • In writing to the Returning Officer, Broxtowe Borough Council, Council Offices, Foster Avenue, Beeston, Nottingham, NG9 1AB or;
  • by emailing a scanned image of a request to elections@broxtowe.gov.uk

In the event of a request for an election being received the election will not take place until 6 May 2021 as a result of the Coronavirus Act 2020 and the 2020 Regulations.

In the absence of a request for an election as aforesaid, the vacancy will be filled by Stapleford Town Council by co-option.
