We are pleased to announce that we will begin running our full timetable again from Monday 3 August.

As many businesses begin to reopen and more people return to work, we’re steadily seeing more people using the tram. We’re increasing the number of services back to the usual level so our customers can continue to maintain social distancing.

Timetable from 3 August:
Monday to Saturday
6 – 7am – from every 15 minutes
7 – 10am – from every 7 minutes (every 10 minutes on Saturdays)
10am – 3pm – from every 10 minutes (every 7 minutes on Saturdays)
3 – 7 pm – from every 7 minutes
9pm – midnight – from every 15 minutes
6 – 7am – from every 15 minutes
7am – 7pm – from every 10 minutes
7 – 11pm – from every 15 minutes

Last chance to extend your season ticket

As we return to full service, the current offer for extending travel on unused 3 and 12 month season tickets will end on Monday 3 August.

If you have a three or 12 month season ticket that you haven’t used due to the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic, please contact us by Wednesday 12 August to have your pass extended by any unused time of at least four consecutive weeks between 16 March and 3 August 2020.

From 13 August, we will only refund unused travel.

Travel centre reopening

Our travel centre in King Street will reopen from Monday 3 August, with standard opening hours (see below).

Although we have put stringent measures against COVID-19 in place at the centre, we would remind customers that we will continue to offer all services online, by phone or email, including the sale of season passes.

If you do need to visit the travel centre, please wear a face covering and respect social distancing guidelines. Only two customers will be able to enter the centre at any one
Monday – Friday*: 8am – 5.30pm (last transaction 5.15pm)
*Wednesday: 8am – 7pm (last transaction 6.45pm)
Saturday: 9am – 5pm (last transaction 4.45pm)
Sunday and bank holidays: Closed

New products!

We’ve introduced new six-month season tickets, in addition to the one and three month passes we already offer, offering discounted travel for those who travel regularly.

Adults, students and under 19s can all purchase these new passes and, in addition, tram2work customers can now purchase one, three and six month tickets, all for the first time!

Travel for less this summer

Travelling as a group this summer? Our £6 Group Ticket offer is available now. Two adults and up to three children can travel by tram all day for just £6, representing an incredible saving on usual ticket prices.

Keeping you safe

The safety of our customers and our staff remains our highest priority. We’re continuing to carry out an enhanced cleaning regime, with staff regularly cleaning frequently touched services at tram stops such as ticket machines and help points.

On board trams, we’re carrying out thorough cleans every time a tram reaches the end of the line, as well as in the depot. In addition we are stopping at every stop and opening doors automatically.

Stay safe on the tram

When using the trams, help us by continuing to follow the latest government guidance for everyone’s safety:
• Plan your journey in advance and avoid the busiest routes, as well as busy times like the rush hour
• Wear a face covering unless you are exempt for age, health or equality reasons – please visit our website if you would like an exemption card
• Maintain social distancing guidance
• Wash or sanitise your hands regularly
• Be considerate to fellow passengers and staff
