A message from your local GP practices
During the COVID-19 pandemic we have had to change the way that we deliver our services in a quite dramatic way and in a very short space of time. This is to help prevent the spread of the disease and protect patients and staff. We would like to place on record our thanks to you, the population of Stapleford and surrounding areas for the way in which you have worked with us over what has been a very challenging 3 months for all of us.
As we enter the next phase of the fight against the virus we would like to share with you our plans for the foreseeable future. By understanding what we will all need to be doing, we hope that we can help you to manage your health in the best possible way.
If you or someone you live with HAS coronavirus symptoms (new continuous cough OR fever OR loss of/ change in smell or taste) Stay at home. If your symptoms worsen or you feel that you cannot manage at home, please refer to the NHS111 online coronavirus service. Please do not go to your GP practice, community pharmacy, dental practice or optician.
If you, or people you live with DON’T HAVE coronavirus symptoms and you think you need help and advice, from your GP practice, don’t delay:
We are here to help you get the care and advice you need.
To protect you from coronavirus, we will try to help you remotely as much as possible:
Contact the practice, either via online services, such as the NHS App or by phone to be assessed. Find out more here: https://www.nhs.uk/health-at-home/
You will be assessed and as far as possible you will receive advice or care via a video consultation or over the phone.
If a face-to-face appointment is necessary you will be advised on what to do. We all have measures in place to minimise any risk from coronavirus. You will also be required to wear a facemask or scarf type covering.
Please do not enter the practice unless you’ve been advised to. This will ensure we can continue to provide essential care safely.
