A series of extra measures are now in place to ensure the safety of those travelling on Nottsbus services across the county.
While some services will continue to run during peak times, others will continue to be on-demand only.
Anyone planning to use a Nottsbus service is advised to only do so if the reason they are travelling is essential, and customers will be asked to respect social distancing measures and remain at least two meters apart while on the bus and waiting at the bus stop.
Customers will also be encouraged to wear face coverings where possible and should not travel if they are unwell or are living with someone who is self-isolating.
Services which are described as on demand must be booked the day before travel either by calling 0115 8044 699 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Gary Wood, Group Manager for Highways at Nottinghamshire County Council, said: “Our priority is ensuring the safety of our communities who use these services while continuing to provide a form of travel when it is essential.
“A number of routes remain as on demand only, meaning that those wishing to use them must contact the council a day in advance to book.
“We would like to thank customers so far for respecting social distancing measures on our services and will continue to monitor the latest government advice on use of public transport.”
