Well, where does one start? A fantastic 2018. Eight months on the road, almost half the distance covered at 9,000 miles and nearly £10,000 raised for Charity.
Thank you! As we approach the Festive Season and 2018 comes to a close I look back upon all that has happened and thank you for your support, prayers and for sharing in my challenge so far.
I havecovered 18 countries, 3 continents and almost 9,000 miles. I am currently in India arranging for my bike to be packaged up for the flight to Bangkok this Friday (14 December 2018). This is no mean feat. I have experienced extremities of terrain, weather and natural disasters (floods in France, a cyclone in Kerala, India and an earthquake plus a hurricane in Greece just as a mention).
Many people have contacted me over the past months and I am most grateful for your encouragement and dedication to my cause. BBC Radio Nottingham have been brilliant with following my movements and I encourage you to listen out on 20 December 12-3pm when I will once again have been interviewed for the Alan Clifford Show. On December 26 I will be speaking with Frances Finn on her morning show. Both Alan and Frances have shown unstinting support and it is indeed a privilege to be able to share my experiences with them and the people of Nottingham and surrounding areas.
As we all move into the Festive Season and contemplate entering a new year I enclose photos from my journey so far. Don’t forget you can follow me on my blog over at the website firstname.lastname@example.org, see loads of photos on my Facebook feed ‘Robert Cleave’ and if at all possible I invite you to sponsor me at www.virginmoneygiving.com searching for ‘Robert Cleave’, alternately cheques can be made payable to ‘Robert’s Ride 18000’. Full contact details are easily obtained by responding to this email. Thank you for joining me as we take this journey of a life time together, considering the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves as I fund raise for Cancer Research UK and Traidcraft Exchange. Two causes close to my heart.
I wish you every blessing this Christmas, a prosperous year in 2019 and thank you for your continued interest, prayers and support. Rather than say ‘see you next year’ I can very soon say ‘see you later this year!’. Robert.
