Broxtowe BC Waste & Recycling update

New litter bins

We’re working on a programme of litter bin installation as part of the Clean and Green campaign to make Broxtowe a cleaner place. A new litter bin has been installed in Hickings lane recreation ground in Stapleford, following feedback from a local resident who was concerned about an increase in littering. A replacement bin has also been installed on Coventry Lane in Bramcote.

  1. We need a litter/dog bin outside Alderman White school please; there used to be one but it disappeared.

  2. We have many bins by the shops on the service road next to the Priory Island. It would be great if we could persuade the public to put litter in them rather than dropping it around the bins. CCTV and a few prosecutions might jolt the public into behaving more responsibly.
