Award for Stapleford Councillor who provides for his community

RMIf being an independent Councillor wasn’t enough, Richard MacRae has shown residents the true meaning of community spirit by devoting his spare time to helping others.

The Stapleford Councillor was runner up for the Nottingham Post Heroes Awards 2018 Good Neighbour Award for going above and beyond the call of duty at the ceremony held in Nottingham last night at the Crowne Plazza Hotel.

The 47-year-old grew up in the very same area he now works hard to support.

He said: “You have to put in 100 percent. You have to find the time. The area may not have everything, but the community is so rich”.

We would like to congratulate Richard on all the hard work he does for our wonderful community.

  1. I would also like to thank my Wife Donna and my Daughter Danni who without there continued help and support I wouldn’t be able to do what I do. Also thanks to Stapleford Community Group and others in the Community who I have nothing but help and support from. This includes our MP Anna Soubry, Councillor Jan Goold and Councillor John McGrath who have always helped me as and when needed. Thank you once again..

  2. Many thanks for sharing this good news and sincere congratulations to Richard on his award. There is no doubt that Richard serves his community very well indeed. Thank you Richard.
