LIbery Leisure confirm that defibrillators are available inside All our Leisure Centres accessible for all members of the public to use. Staff would also lead and be available for support. None are available outside any of the Centres.
GOLF COURSE FRONTAGE
Current owners have advised BBC Planners that the site is anticipated to be sold shortly. No further planning application has been submitted but it is anticipated that once the sale has been completed an application will then be forthcoming.
The current owners have been asked to ‘tidy up’ the frontage advising BBC upon completion.

RUFFORD AVENUE STREET LIGHT
A new street light on Rufford Avenue has been installed by Western Power after being out of action for a number of weeks.
LAND FOR SALE OFF SANDY LANE
The Auctioneer advised me that the land off Sandy Lane was sold for £200,000 to an undisclosed Buyer.
They also confirmed that the Sellers solicitor was informed about the presence of Japanese Knotweed on the site for advising potential clients.
It is hope the new owners will continue to allow access to this pleasant ridge used by scores of local residents.
NEW SAFETY BARRIER AT THE TOP OF TOWN STREET
The County Council are pressing for delivery from a third party contractor for delivery of the new specially made barrier. Original delivery promise by the end of June sadly missed. I am now advised that the earliest date for a replacement is likely to be in the third quarter of the financial year with the proviso that this date may also slip.
TREES KING GEORGE V PARK
The trees on the Park bordering the Town Street houses are to be ‘pollarded’ in mid September so reducing the autumn leaf fall and visibility as requested.

It is hoped the consultation with users, and potential users of the Park regarding developments of Play Areas as part of the £500,000 planned Borough spend over a 2 year period will be undertaken in the late Autumn, October/November with submission to WREN by 1st December at best
