Green Flag Community Awards for The Alexandrina Plantation and Sandy Lane Open Space Local Nature Reserves

The Alexandrina Plantation and Sandy Lane Open Space Local Nature Reserves are recognised as some of the UK’s very best green spaces.

A record number of parks and green spaces have received a Green Flag Award. The above Nature Reserves have been recognised as some of the best in the world. They are among a record-breaking 1,883 UK sites to receive this prestigious Green Flag Award, the mark of a quality green space. We know how important these sites are to residents and visitors and this award celebrates the dedication that goes into maintaining our Bramcote Ridge Reserves to such a high standard.

Norman Clyde-Watson, on behalf of “The Friends of Bramcote Ridge,” said, “We are absolutely delighted to receive a Green Flag Community Award for the tenth consecutive year. This year for the first time we achieved the highest pass-mark possible, making 2018 a very special occasion.”

The judge commented, “The Friends of Bramcote Ridge is a shining example of a hard-working and dedicated community group, who really do care for their local green spaces.”
