Sunday 1 July World War One 100 years Commemorative Service King George V Park 2.30 pm

Councillor Martin Plackett writes: For me this is very much a ‘Community Occasion’ and I am very keen to encourage Bramcote folk to come along to what will be a very moving Service ( approx 1 hour duration) not least for the Drama telling the story of the 15 Bramcote men who died in the conflict, with a backdrop of crosses bearing the men’s names, but to remember all those who have sacrificed their lives for our Country in past wars.

Make it a family occasion, bring chairs or rugs to sit on and perhaps a picnic, an opportunity to meet with friends and fellow Bramcote residents.

  1. What a brilliant event and well done to all who organised it and put this together. We had a great time.

Keep a look put for Stapleford Remembers which is currently being organised by a Steering Group.

  2. Thank you Richard for your very positive and welcome comments. The involvement of so many different Community Groups over the last months in planning was truly rewarded by the numbers present at the Service and Drama.

Look forward to hearing more about Stapleford Remembers.

    T Y again
