Broxtowe Borough Council Budget Proposal 2018/2019

“The Council’s 2018/19 budget proposes a Council Tax freeze for the third year under this administration, coupled with significant investment in parks and open spaces (£250,000 in 2018/19 and £250,000 in 2019/20). The budget also sets aside resources for the exciting Beeston Square phase 2 re-development project and during this World War 1 commemorative year, the Council will meet the Remembrance Day parade costs for Parish and Town Councils. Reductions in central government represent a significant challenge for all local authorities, and the Council will be responding to this by updating its Business Strategy, becoming more customer focused, making further efficiencies, and maximising commercial opportunities.”

Leader of the Council, Councillor Richard Jackson
