Improvements to Cookies Pond, Bramcote

Thanks to Stapleford Community Group a new path has been installed at Cookies Pond off Ilkeston Road. A £5,000 investment from Stapleford Community Group to improve the area has been given to Groundwork Greater Nottingham after the local Community Group won the money earlier this year from the Tesco Bags For Life Grant Fund. This was voted for by local people in local Tesco Stores.

The new Path will make it easier for people to access the Pond from the Car Park and passes a Bench then joins the path which is already there.

We were contacted my many people requesting improving access with a new Path so here it is.

Grass seeds have also been sprinkled around and once they take root the Path will be very discreet and blend in with the area.

We would like to thank Tesco for the Bags For Life Grant and Groundwork for the hard work in making this happen.
