An opportunity to support local charities

Dear Everyone

Now that I am retired I have taken up several charitable appointments and currently I am helping raise funds for two of these. I chair the SW Notts Scouts Executive Committee which is raising funds to help Scouts attend the International Scout Jamboree that will be held in the USA in 2019. I am also the lay-chair of the St Michael and All Angels (Bramcote Parish Church) Parochial Church Council which is raising funds for a number of commitments, repairs and projects that will benefit the church and the local community. I would really love it if you could help me support both of these causes.

On Saturday 26 August I will walk with my dog Charlie from my home in Bramcote to Langley Mill and back. We will use part of the Erewash Valley Trail along the Nottingham Canal Nature Reserve. After we return (at around 4pm if all goes well) I will be hosting a barbecue at my home. Would you please consider sponsoring me and Charlie for the walk, and/or come to the barbecue and make a donation towards these two worthy causes? I would be very grateful indeed. All donations (made out to Stan Heptinstall) will be spit 50/50 between the two charities (unless you have indicated otherwise) and can be sent to me at my home address (above). Many thanks for considering this.

Stan Heptinstall

Former Councillor for Bramcote and Mayor of Broxtowe

  1. Thanks very much indeed for posting this Sue. If anyone wants any further information they are welcome to contact me directly. I have set up a special bank account with the Royal Bank of Scotland specially for any funds received and I can provide the account information on request. Charlie and I have been out practicing again early this morning! Stan
