  1. Joan Wade says:

I am someone who sees it as my democratic duty to vote. However each of the campaign leaflets I have received so far has put me off voting for the candidate supported by the leaflet. I would therefore welcome a none of the above box being on the ballot paper. In some voting systems where none of the above gets a majority the ballot is reopened for other candidates to come forward.

    • Donna MacRae says:

What Election Ward do you live in.

      • Barry Morrison says:

Well, I’ve never heard such a damn stupid thing in my life from Joan, Steve, Barbara or whoever he/she is today

    • Joan,
You also have a candidate whose literature can’t have put you off… because I haven’t sent any.
Whatever you do please think about voting for a candidate who will fight to ensure public land stays in public hands.

I fail to see why the County Council feels the need to hand over ownership of new school assets to an independent academy. It could build new buildings and simply lease them to White Hills Park Federation.

      Paul Nathanail
The Independent Candidate for Bramcote and Beeston North

promoted by peter nathanail of eighty six moor lane bramcote.

  2. Sue Sambells says:

I would encourage residents to allocate their precious vote(s) based on what a candidate has done already for their community and not what their PR says they may do. PR costs and, personally, I don’t want a councillor voted in because he/she can afford the best PR. There is much evidence on this website of candidates who are actively involved in making their community a better place to live. Forget politics, to a degree, and look at dedication and results.
