Paul Nathanail: An independent candidate for the County Council elections

Local resident, Paul Nathanail, has today announced he will be standing as a candidate in the Bramcote & Beeston North ward for the elections to Nottinghamshire County Council being held on 4 May 2017.

Paul is standing in order to maximise the benefit to local residents of the enormous changes in land use being considered by the County Council on land that it owns in the ward.

He is particularly keen that land and associated buildings, whether old or new, are retained in public ownership for the wider good now and in the long term.

Specifically he will be calling for the County Council to retain its freehold of land on which new school buildings are to be built and the freehold of those new buildings and then to lease those to the White Hills Park Federation.

Paul will be standing as an independent candidate and hopes the above policies will be supported by those who traditionally vote on party lines… or don’t vote at all.

  1. Councillor Richard MacRae says:

May I be the first to wish a fellow Independent Candidate all the best of luck in the upcoming Nottinghamshire County Council Elections.

  2. Thanks Richard! If in some way we can stop the madness of the County Council giving away public assets when there is no need to do so then the effort will be worth it.

I still see no reason why the County Council needs to give away land and buildings paid for from selling such land. These are public assets and should stay that way. No reason why White Hills Park Federation cannot lease any new buildings.

Best wishes in your own endeavours too!
