Coffee morning and craft fair Saturday 11th March

Julia Gibbs has asked that we publicise  a fundraising event at St Leonard’s Community Centre, Wollaton, on Saturday 11th March, between 10 am and 12 noon. The Speech, Sign and Song Group are hosting a coffee morning and craft fair, just in time for Mother’s day and Easter!

The Speech Sign and Song Group is based in Beeston, and supports pre schoolers with communication difficulties. Using songs and instruments, supported by signs and symbols, the group encourages children who may have struggled in more mainstream groups to develop confidence and communication skills. The weekly pre schooler sessions are lead by 2 experienced music leaders, one of whom is a trained speech therapist.

Crafts that will be on sale at the event include:  gift boxes from The Boxed Gift Company, beautiful art and craft works from Betsy Sparrow and others, hand made cards and Phoenix cards, candles of course a cake stall and tombola. We also have the chance to make some lovely jewellery with Rebecca of Becass. And in addition, we have pampering treatments, and tea and coffee – so come along for a lovely relaxing morning!

Adults 50p entry, children free, and the event will take place between 10 am and 12 noon.
