Update on Sherwin Island

martin-plackett-latestCouncillor Martin Plackett reports on the Sherwin Island.

I have today received an e-mail from Broxtowe Borough Council’s Environment Team.

A horticultural maintenance visit is planned with AMEY, Highways England’s Contractor providing Traffic Management, for late October when the Team will undertake necessary work on the Island. A programme too for the next twelve months of ‘on going maintenance’ at such times when grass cutting by Highways England is taking place is in the process of being scheduled. It is hoped that that such maintenance work will be possible 3/4 times a year with Traffic Management of the whole Island making such work on the Island that much easier. I have particularly asked that attention is paid to the perimeter of the Island.
