    All the Lib-Dem and Labour members of the committee voted against the plans.

    As the Independent Councillor on the Planning Committee I also voted against these plans.

    The old golf course is a vital part of the green infrastructure of the village and we are disappointed that the council ever considered allowing development on it.

    Shame you didn’t feel the same about Field Farm Greenbelt when your Party voted to allow development on there. It’s a vital part of the green infrastructure here in Stapleford but that didn’t bother you.

  2. “Bramcote Neighbourhood Forum” – The phrase the Focus seems unable to name!
    The meeting attended by some 188 Bramcote residents (and a few visitors from outside Bramcote) was convened by the Bramcote Neighbourhood Forum – a body whose existence was made possible by the Localism Act 2011 – a product of the final time the LibDems were in (shared) power.
    It gives those of us who live in Bramcote a voice that is more than the collection of individual voices and the Forum exists so that all the people of Bramcote have the opportunity to contribute in shaping Bramcote’s future.

    It did bother us Richard. And we made it clear that we would not accept anymore deterioration of the Green Belt. This is over and above that which was agree in the Core Strategy.
