Maintenance of the A52 may hopefully Improve

From tomorrow Friday, 1 July, Highways England are changing how they operate in Area 7 (East Midlands) and as a result A-one+ will no longer be carrying out management and maintenance of the network on their behalf.  For more information see this document – Highways England_Changes in the East Midlands

    Having communicated today with Highways England Asset Manager for Notts and Derby, Rajinder Kaur, I have again stressed the importance of looking after the urban stretch of Bramcote’s A52, It is to be hoped that we do see an improvement in the coming months as H E take on the responsibility of maintaining Trunk Roads themselves.

    I think the biggest concern regarding this change in management is what they plan to do to make the Sherwin roundabout safer for pedestrians.
    I have emailed to enquiry but the more people that do the better.

    A pedestrian crossing on Ilkeston Road outside the Sherwin would be a good idea…A pedestrian crossing at the bottom of Town Street would be a good idea as would a pedestrian crossing outside the Sherwin on Derby road.
