Bramcote Hills Golf Course – Area on Thoresby Road Tidied UP

The old car park area of Bramcote Hills Golf Course on Thoresby Road has been tidied up and the graffiti on the kiosk has been blanked out.

However the area from the kiosk up the hill is still a jungle.

At least there has been some temporary improvement!

“the area from the kiosk up the hill is still a jungle.”…..Think of the wildlife, they’ll be happy.

If you know this from experience of a recent visit, then you have been trespassing as it is clearly stated that it is private property and trespassers will be prosecuted!

  2. Graham Taylor says:

Use it as a training ground for England footballers. They want to go into hiding.

    • Ian Blakeley says:

You aren’t the (long time) previous England manager Graham “Turnip” Taylor are you Graham? (8-D

It’s it possible the golf course could be made accessible to the general public? Our green spaces are being threatened and this is a large area which could be appreciated be many people.

    • Mark Jermy says:

It is planned to make the eastern part of the former golf course accessible to the public in accordance with the outline planning proposals submitted to Broxtowe and recommended for approval by planners. This will now need to wait for the outcome of the planning appeal!

what are the plans for the kiosk on the car park

    • Mark Jermy says:

As part of the proposals it was planned to demolish this building , re-landscape and provide a public car park for the land to be made accessible to the public and also assist in parking for access to the Alexandrina Plantation and beyond on the other side of Thereby Rd.

  5. Peter Lyons says:

it is outrageous that the old golf course looking from Thoresby Road is a major eyesore with the hoarded up brick kiosk covered with graffiti and the poorly patched up fencing creating an area that is both unsightly and unpleasant. It brings down the whole area and needs clearing.
