How many Beavers can you fit into a police car?

That was the question asked of the 2nd Bramcote Beavers by NottsWatch Trustee, Sue Sambells, at the presentation she had arranged with Simon Wilson, who does a great job providing fun, education and discipline to 25 Beavers each Tuesday evening.

Stapleford cHow many Beavers 3luster PCSOs Chris Archer and Alistair Butterfield joined Sue last night in telling the boys and girls, aged 6-8, about the benefits of Neighbourhood Watch and why the police are there to help in the community.

After a brief explanation of why it’s important that we look out for our friends and neighbours and pass on information to and from the police, Sue asked 20 multi choice policing questions. The Beavers lined up against Alistair, Simon or Chris to show if they thought the answer was A, B or C. Questions like, Neighbourhood Watch schemes provide information to police about A. the weather, B. murder suspects from T.V. soap group 6dramas or C. criminal activity. After a calm start, the Beavers soon were excited when they guessed the correct answer.

The final question being, “How many Beavers can you fit into a police car?” A handful guessed over 15 but all had fun finding out, as well as trying on the police high visibility coat and stab vest.

The evening finished with a quick Q & A with Alistrying on the police coattair, then Sue gave out information packs to all the Beavers to share with their families, challenging each to try and encourage five adults to sign up to the free alert system at www.nottswatch.co.uk.

And by the way, the answer was all 22 that aHow many Beavers 5ttended that evening!running to the carHow many Beavers - 22 Beavers in a police car 1
