Update for Previous Alert from Nottinghamshire Police

Chris Archer (Police, PCSO 4662, Stapleford (Broxtowe South) writes:

In April 2015 we informed you of an incident which had occurred in the Rufford Avenue area of Bramcote involving a company taking money for roofing work and not completing the work. This company were advertising themselves at Techline Roofing.

The local beat team at Stapleford Police Station have today spoken with Robert Hales who is the owner of Techline Roofing and Guttering Services who are based in Shepperton, Surrey. This company is part of CheckaTrade and are approved by Surrey Trading Standards.

This company is not the same Techline Roofing that were operating and cold calling in the Bramcote area.

We as a local beat team would like to remind residents that we do not recommend using companies who call at your door advertising home improvement work. We do however recommend using reputable tradesmen either by recommendation from friends or by various approved tradesmen schemes.
