Bridle Road Repair

John Sallis writes: Over the past few months I have had a number of emails with the County highways concerning the numerous and deepening potholes in Bridle Road.

They are damaging for cars and dangerous for pedestrians and cyclists.

The Council have said work is in hand to repair the holes but nothing happens.

The Road has had piecemeal repairs so often now it’s surface is nearly all repairs in the narrow sections.

It must be time for something a little more drastic like proper re-surfacing.

Following representation to me over the Holiday weekend I have been in contact with the County Council (The Highways Authority) with regard to the pot holes in Bridle Road. Yesterday I received the following e-mail from the Senior Highways Liason Officer at the Council.

‘There is already a works order for repairs on Bridle Road.’. ‘As a result of another complaint, our Senior Inspector contacted our Operations Team THIS MORNING and requested that the job is completed as a matter of urgency’

We await the prompt work as requested, and promised now being actioned very quickly.
