Police Priority Setting Meeting Minutes 8 January 2016

Have you ever wondered what happens to the Safer Neighbourhood surveys completed by the public?  They are reviewed four times per year by a committee from the cluster area made up of police, councillors (all parties) and community leads, in the main from Neighbourhood Watch schemes.  Bramcote is part of the Stapleford cluster.  All Minutes, including those from 8 January, can be read from the Policing page.

Last week’s meeting confirmed the next quarter’s priorities as:

  1. Vehicle Nuisance: Speeding
  2. Drug misuse / supply
  3. Rowdy / Nuisance Behaviour

The surveys not only serve the purpose of telling the police what the public perceive as problematic and is therefore prioritised, they allow the public to report specific concerns. The specials regularly use their speeding gun.  Stapleford also now an off road bike team.  Intelligence is needed from the public, via the alerts, so they can target the right area, at the right time and know who to look out for.
