There’s Plenty To Do in Broxtowe Borough‏

AP7Christmas is coming and if you want to know what events are happening in your area over the Festive Season or if you have a community event to promote, Broxtowe Borough Council’s What’s on Where online events calendar can help.

The ‘WOW’ service at allows visitors to the Council’s website to search for events by date or event type for plenty of ideas for keeping the whole family entertained.

Local community groups and volunteers can also use the facility to get free publicity for their own events by submitting them to the calendar with the easy to use online form at

Once submitted, the event will then be displayed in the WOW calendar to the thousands of visitors to the webpage, one of the top ten most visited areas of the Council’s website.

Local residents can also stay up to date with the latest news and events by signing up to the Council’s Email Me service at

Over 8,700 residents are already subscribed to the service which sends updates on a range of topics including Latest News, What’s On, Jobs, Town Centres and Business to Waste and Recycling, Leisure, Sport and more, all direct to their inbox.

Just some of the events taking place across the borough over the Festive Season include a Santa’s Grotto, Christmas Lights Switch On events across the Borough, the Season of Lights Celebrations and many more.
