Famlies and friends can share fond memories of their loved ones who have passed away at Bramcote Crematorium’s service of Remembrance on Sunday 6th December.
The annual event, which has become a popular and poignant feature in the Crematorium’s calendar, will take place in the Serenity Chapel at 2.00pm led by Rev Jez Prance.
The service will last about an hour and include readings, prayers and Carols, with musical contributions from Soloist Sarah Simmonds. Seasonal refreshments will be available afterwards.
On arrival at the chapel, members of the congregation will be invited to light a candle in memory of their loved ones, whose names can also be read out during the act of remembrance, if the family so wish.
In the past, guests have found the service a comforting way to remember their friends and family, with comments including Comments from previous services: “so simple, yet so poignant,’” “a lovely Service – it helped me so much” and “a beautiful way to remember your loved ones at Christmas.”
This service has become a very popular event and can attract a large attendance. It is recommended that people arrive early to light their candle and ensure a seat within the chapel – children of all ages are most welcome to attend.
The Serenity chapel doors will be open from 1.15pm.
