The Tour of Britain rides into Nottingham on Friday 11 September, bringing the worlds best cyclists back to our city (including Sir Bradley Wiggins!) as Nottingham hosts the finish to Stage 6.    The Route on Friday starts at Stoke on Trent and follows a course set to give the riders a challenge over the hills of Derbyshire.   The cyclist will come through Ilkeston, Trowell and down Wollaton Vale to Priory Island.  More information may be found here.

  1. Mike Johnson says:

The roads used by the Cyclist for safety reasons are closed to all traffic during an approximate period before the race is due and while the whole peloton and the back markers pass. This period of closure may be about 2 hours on Friday Afternoon.
