Bramcote Cricket Club

Bramcote Cricket Club was founded in 1858 and is based at Bramcote Hills Park on Ilkeston Road in Bramcote.  The club currently runs two league cricket teams in addition to a friendly Sunday side and coaching midweek junior teams.

The club is open to anyone interested in playing or coaching cricket and currently has around 100 members of all ages, the majority of whom live in Bramcote and the surrounding areas.  Visiting clubs from Chilwell, Attenborough and Beeston also enjoy use of the club’s facilities.

We have a mixture of experienced and young players who all enjoy playing cricket on a Saturday & Sunday and try to keep a healthy mixture of fun and competitive cricket.

Bramcote Youth Football Club 

The Bramcote Youth Football Club was formed back in 1985 by an enthusiastic group of Dads and Mums during a period when sporting activities for children was rapidly disappearing.

The club since those early days has grown to provide a fun healthy environment for boys and girls from 5 to 16 years old to learn and develop their football skills. The club now has 8 teams who play in local leagues Young Elizabethan League and the Derby City League. The club is affiliated to Nottinghamshire FA.

The club is organised and run by volunteers consisting of parent/guardians and friends. They manage and organise the activities from training, matches to fun days.

Bramcote Netball Club 

Bramcote Netball Club was formed in January 2008. We currently have four teams – Rubies,  Sapphies, Jewels and Diamonds which play in various leagues throughout Nottingham.  Our members are a mix of ages and abilities, some play for fun and to keep fit whilst others enjoy the more competitive side of the sport.  Click on the link in the title for more details of the club and its fixtures

Bramcote Swimming Club

Nottinghamshire Orienteering Club

Catherine Hughes, Nordic Walking Instructor and British Orienteering Coach of the Year 2010 writes: Orienteering – it’s the easy way to get fit or lose weight. Orienteering is about using a map to find your way around checkpoints set out in the park; doing it on your own or with a friend or two.  Bramcote Orienteering Group meet every week on Thursdays at 6.30pm for a fun evening of map reading games.  All ages and abilities catered for.  There is a coach who concentrates on helping people who are new and who can’t read maps. Come along with a friend or on your own and meet new people who enjoy the outdoors. The group meets in Bramcote Park during April, May, June and July (in the car park next to children’s play area).
Only £2 for adults and £1 for kids or £3 for a family (children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult).  No need to book but contact Catherine on 07940 575758 or hubclub@noc-uk.org if you want more information.  Bramcote Orienteers are part of Nottinghamshire Orienteering Club, who are offering FREE membership to new members in 2012. Brazilian Football Coaching  

Brazilian Football Coaching is open to all children of primary school age, on Mondays at Bramcote C of E School.  This group has started recently to help children improve their technique and learn new skills through Brazilian-inspired coaching methods.  All children are welcome to come along, you don’t need to belong to Bramcote C of E School.  The cost is £5 per session, and you usually book for a half-term’s worth of lessons.  Brazilian Soccer Schools have been operating nationally since 1996, with the Nottingham centre starting in May 2010, and the Bramcote sessions have been running since February 2011.   More information can be found on the website at www.icfds.com/nottinghamsouth or you can email us at nottinghamsouth@icfds.com, or call 0115 922 8890 or mobile 0794 727 6045.
