Catherine Winstanley writes: Over the bank holiday weekend the castle will play host to a fine array of local handmade crafts and food producers from across Derbyshire and the East Midlands.Set four miles southeast of the city of Derby is Elvaston Castle Country Park, a picturesque site featuring over 200 acres of woodlands, parkland and formal gardens.
The food and craft event will be held in the castle court yard where marquees and
stands will be selling everything from meats, cheeses, pickles and confectionary through
to fine arts, crafts, jewellery, and beauty products all handmade locally.
On both days there will be a range of hot and cold foods and snacks on sale
This is our 4th event at the castle and we have another event planned for 2013
On Dec 6th/7th
It’s a fabulous way to showcase some amazing local-made produce and regional foods, it
also increase visitors to this fabulous venues that needs lots of support’.
The food and craft event will start at 10.00am until 5.00pm on Saturday, and Sunday.
The event is free to the public, although parking fees will still apply. (Unless you are a
blue badge holder)
