Richard Macrae draws our attention to BBC News – Six biggest English cities get extra powers and money and writes: We ALL know that allowing any building on Field Farm is the key to allowing building right up to Strelley. If you get a bigger map of Nottinghamshire and look at all the lands/areas that they want to build on, you can see its all towards making Nottingham bigger. Its filling the gaps between the different areas.
People need to look at the bigger picture. Its all about MONEY & POWER. Make Nottingham bigger and get more of both from Central Government.
We have still heard nothing from our so called local Councillors around Stapleford telling us why they didn’t listen to the residents. Remember we are the people who you beg to vote for you and promise to listen to.

Looks like most of the daily papers carried the same story Richard and I can’t dispute what you’re saying….I’ll leave that to the councillors who don’t even bother replying to you after they wanted your votes…But I would’nt hold my breath if you want a reasonable answer
Reading the article this applies to the City of Nottingham. Last time I checked Field Farm is not located in the City boundary hence it would have no effect.
Nottingham City is a Unitary Authority, hence their budget is completely separate to the County Council. Hence, your claims of hidden agenda and ‘Its all about MONEY & POWER. Make Nottingham bigger and get more of both from Central Government’ make no sense whatsoever.
Yes you are very correct. Field Farm isn’t in the City boundry and let’s keep it that way. But we all know allowing any building on Field Farm then up Coventry Lane towards Strelly crossing could possibly change this. City boundaries can be changed. So my claims do make sense, you just have to look at the bigger picture.
